BYD Electric Car 

BYD India was founded in March 2007 in Chennai, India, and has a branch in New Delhi. It has two factories with a total area of over 140,000 square meters and an investment of over $150 million USD. The Indian subsidiary covers a wide range of products, including electric vehicles and energy storage systems. BYD India has established itself as the group's South Asia regional headquarters.

The company has successfully piloted electric buses in multiple cities in India and has a significant market share of commercially operating electric buses. The price of a BYD car in India starts at 29.15 Lakh for the least expensive model, the E6. BYD India introduced the E6 electric MPV for the B2B market in November 2021, with plans to enter the B2C market in 2022.

BYD Atto 3

Over 340 units from the BYD Atto 3's first batch were delivered to their respective customers in January. Since its debut, the electric SUV has received over 2,000 reservations. The Atto 3 also comes in a limited 1,200-unit special edition that was unveiled at the Auto Expo show.

The Atto 3 is an electric SUV with a sporty and stylish exterior design, featuring LED headlamps, an illuminated light stripe, electrically adjustable and foldable wing mirrors, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The interior is modern and premium, with a wave-type dual-tone dashboard and a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that can be rotated.

The Atto 3 is equipped with a range of features, including a wireless charger, panoramic sunroof, air purifier, 31-color ambient lighting, four USB ports, a 360-degree camera, and an eight-speaker sound system. The Atto 3 offers keyless entry and the option to unlock and start the vehicle using an NFC key card. The electric SUV has a seating capacity of up to five occupants.

Individual buyers will be able to purchase the BYD E6 starting in August 2022. The BYD E6 is only available in one model: GL.

·         The E6 electric MPV is powered by a single AC motor and a 71.87 kWh battery pack.

BYD E6 Price

The BYD E6 costs 29.15 lakh rupees (Avg. ex-showroom). There is only one variant of the E6. The base model of the E6 electric costs 29.15 lakh rupees. The price of the E6 automatic version starts at 29.15 Lakh.

BYD Seal

·         BYD Seal electric sedan is set to be launched in India by the end of 2023, as showcased in Auto Expo 2023. 

·         The car is available in a single, fully-loaded variant. 

·         Exterior dimensions of the Seal are 4,800mm (length), 1,875mm (width), and 1,460mm (height), with a wheelbase of 2,920mm. The design is inspired by the Ocean X concept and follows BYD’s ‘ocean aesthetics design language. 

·         The interior features a 15.6-inch infotainment display, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, head-up display, wireless charging, heated windscreen, interconnected air-con vents, and blue-themed upholstery. 

·         The Seal is offered with two battery pack options globally: 61.4 kWh with a range of 550km and 82.5 kWh with a range of 700km. The charging capacity of the smaller pack is up to 110 kWh and the larger pack can take up to 150 kWh. It can accelerate from 0-100kmph in just 3.8 seconds. 

·         The expected price of the BYD Seal ranges from 55 to 60 Lakh Rupees.
