BYD India was
founded in March 2007 in Chennai, India, and has a branch in New
Delhi. It has two factories with a total area of over 140,000 square meters and
an investment of over $150 million USD. The Indian subsidiary covers a
wide range of products, including electric vehicles and energy storage systems.
BYD India has established itself as the group's South Asia regional
headquarters.
The company has successfully
piloted electric buses in multiple cities in India and has a significant market
share of commercially operating electric buses. The price of a BYD car
in India starts at 29.15 Lakh for the least expensive model, the E6.
BYD India introduced the E6 electric MPV for the B2B market in November
2021, with plans to enter the B2C market in 2022.

Over 340 units from the BYD Atto 3's first
batch were delivered to their respective customers in January. Since its debut,
the electric SUV has received over 2,000 reservations. The Atto 3 also comes in

four USB ports, a 360-degree camera, and an eight-speaker sound system. The
Atto 3 offers keyless entry and the option to unlock and start the vehicle
using an NFC key card. The electric SUV has a seating capacity of up to

· BYD Seal electric sedan is set to be launched in India by the end of 2023, as showcased in Auto Expo 2023.
· The car is available in a single, fully-loaded variant.
· Exterior dimensions of the Seal are 4,800mm (length), 1,875mm (width), and 1,460mm (height), with a wheelbase of 2,920mm. The design is inspired by the Ocean X concept and follows BYD’s ‘ocean aesthetics design language.
