Ather Energy, the Bengaluru-based
electric two-wheeler giant, has revved its engine into a new lane – smart
helmets. At their recent Community Day event, they unveiled the Ather Halo
line, making a splash in the rider safety and tech space.
The Ather Halo comes in two Flavors:
·
The flagship full-face Halo: This
premium helmet boasts top-notch safety features with ISI and DOT
certifications. But it's the smart tech that truly sets it apart. Integrated
Harman Kardon speakers deliver crystal-clear audio, while features like
auto-wear detection and wireless charging make for a seamless riding
experience.
·
The Halo Bit for half-face helmet users: Don't
fret, open-face fans! Ather offers the Halo Bit, a module controller that
attaches to your existing helmet. It provides similar features to the full-face
Halo, minus the complete head enclosure.
Both helmets prioritize safety
without compromising on tech. The introductory price of Rs 12,999 for
the full-face Halo makes it an attractive option for riders seeking a
feature-rich helmet. The Halo Bit offers a more budget-friendly option at Rs
4,999.
The Halo line integrates neatly
into Ather's existing ecosystem. Riders can enjoy features like intercom
capabilities for rider and pillion, and music playback that cuts through
traffic noise. Additionally, Ather offers an optional wireless charger that fits
snugly in the scooter's boot for effortless charging on the go.
Ather's entry into the smart
helmet market is a significant development. With established players like Sena
already in the game, the competition is bound to heat up. Whether the Halo line
paves the way for a new era of feature-rich helmets at competitive prices
remains to be seen. But one thing's for sure: Ather has thrown down the
gauntlet, making the ride to the future a whole lot smarter.
