Tata Motors introduces Nexon EV Prime

Tata Motors, India's leading automobile manufacturer, today announced the introduction of Nexon EV Prime with high-end, smart features such as Multi-Mode Regen, Automatic Brake Lamp Activation on Regen, Cruise Control, Indirect Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (iTPMS), Smartwatch integrated connectivity feature, and Charging Timeout of 110 seconds, in keeping with its New Forever philosophy.

To elevate the EV ownership experience, Tata Motors is also offering these new intuitive features to nearly 22,000 existing Nexon EV owners via a first-of-its-kind Software Update. This upgrade will help current owners on their way to 'Evolving to Electricity' by improving their driving experience, connectivity, and efficiency. Recognizing the efforts of early EV ambassadors, Tata Motors will provide the first free Software Update to existing customers on July 25th, 2022 at its Authorized Service Centers. Tata Motors will shortly launch an educational campaign for consumers to guarantee a smooth transition. Subsequent software updates will be paid for by all existing owners.

The Nexon EV Prime is an aspirational electric SUV that provides a worry-free long-range (ARAI certified range of 312 kilometres) on a single charge while emitting no emissions. It has a powerful and efficient 129 PS permanent-magnet AC motor that is powered by a large 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery. The carline includes an industry-leading dust and waterproof battery pack that satisfies IP67 specifications. It also comes with an 8-year or 1,60,000-kilometer battery and motor guarantee. Furthermore, the vehicle includes 35 Mobile App-based connected capabilities ranging from remote controls to vehicle tracking to driving behavior analytics, navigation, and remote diagnostics. The Nexon EV comes in three colour options: signature Teal Blue, Glacier White, and the newly launched Daytona Grey.
